This photograph shows part of the main corridor of Utah's State Capitol Building, featuring an equestrian statue of Chief Washakie, leader of the eastern Shoshone (artist unknown). Visible above the entrance to the chambers of the House of Representatives is a mural painted by Gerard Hale and Gilbert White entitled Reclaiming the Desert for Irrigation.
