Caption: "Stow Lake, G.G. Park," c.1910. Stow Lake is a man-made lake in Golden Gate Park dating back to 1893. Visitors still enjoy Stow Lake today, engaging in activities such as boating and picnicking by the lake.

Audrey Fullerton-Samora of Sacramento, great niece of William and Grace McCarthy, donated the William M. McCarthy Photograph Collection to the California State Archives in 1996.
