Miss Bicentennial USA
Miss Bicentennial USA contestants would also wear a costume representing a historical period during the pageant, as well as special red, white and blue swimsuits designed by Cole of California. Qualifications included, among other things, possession of a high school diploma and being between 18 and 21 years old. The prizes were to include scholarship money and a new automobile. The winner of 1976’s Miss Bicentennial USA was Suzie Jackson.
