Oakland Historical Landmark
In 1975 the commission voted to endorse the restoration project. The Camron-Stanford House Preservation Association raised almost $800,000 to fund heating, plumbing and electrical repairs. Historic furnishings helped recreate the house’s nineteenth century interiors, and the house reopened to the public in 1978. The Camron-Stanford House has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places and designated an Oakland Historical Landmark.
